It’s been a full day with meetings and projects…and there is still plenty to do before the day ends. And let’s not even get into what is on the To Do list for tomorrow (let alone everything over the last few weeks/months)! And…feelings of overwhelm and burnout are lapping at the edges.

Can you relate?

Yup, burnout and overwhelm happen — and breaks are mission critical. If you’re finding yourself on this “whoa, things have been a lot” edge, here's one of the assignments I like to give my clients when they're feeling burned out:

The 3-3-3 Time Off Challenge

(Is it actually a challenge? Not really, but it sounds more official that way!)

Here’s a quick video with the details:

And if seeing the details written out is more your jam, here you go:

1) Schedule a mini-break in the next 3 days. This could be an afternoon off, scheduling a massage, or not starting work until noon.

2) Schedule a longer break in the next 3 weeks. This could be a long weekend away, or just a staycation where you order takeout, sleep in, and turn off your phone.

3) Schedule a legit vacation in the next 3 months. This could be whatever feels restorative to you, but it's at least a full week off.

Up for it?

If you’ve got a friend who’s feeling burned out, feel free to invite them to join the 3-3-3 Time Off Challenge with you (they’ll thank you at the end, I promise!). And I’d love to hear about what you'd do (or are planning to do) — leave a comment below and let me know. 🥰

Here's to taking a break!
