When this concept was first presented to me, I scoffed. Sure my thought might be important, but they don’t “create my reality.” But the more I dug into this experiment, the more I found it to incredibly powerful.
When we are careful with our thoughts, we are able to dramatically shift our reality.

Examples to get you going:
Circumstance: 2 clients
Current reality
Thought: “I need more clients! Two is not enough. This sucks.”
Feeling: Depressed.
Action: Making half-hearted efforts, doing the same things you’ve always done…but with less enthusiasm.
Result: No new clients. (Thought is reinforced).
Same circumstance, shifted reality
Thought: “I’m laying the foundation for more clients and more success.”
Feeling: Energized!
Action: Bringing enthusiasm into all of your efforts. Thinking outside of the box. Telling everyone about your work.
Result: New leads and momentum!
Circumstance: Holiday season
Current reality
Thought: “I have so much to do…I’m never going to get it all done.”
Feeling: Stressed, overwhelmed
Action: Frantically working all hours of the day.
Result: Making careless mistakes, burned out, not enjoying your work.
Same circumstance, shifted reality
Thought: “I have all the time I need to get everything done.”
Feeling: Calm, determined.
Action: Working diligently during work hours, and also taking time to recharge.
Result: Fewer mistakes, enjoying the process, accomplishing your goal.
