Spotlight: Rose Ludwig

Spotlight is a series that features a past or current client of mine as they share a bit of their story, their talents, their insights, and their process with you. You might learn something from their journey, or you might just discover an amazing new business!

Rose Ludwig is a Transformational Nurse Health Coach who helps women over 40 to reduce and sometimes even reverse the symptoms of autoimmune and digestion disorders. Her work allows her clients to embrace the next chapter in their lives with a body that supports them rather than holding them back. Rose helps them move away from overwhelm, frustration and fear over the future of their health and move toward being empowered, vibrant, and feeling great in their own skin.

1. What drew you to the work you're doing?

I became a nurse many years ago because I wanted to impact people’s lives for the better, to make a difference and see people thrive.  After becoming a nurse, I became frustrated with the present model that focuses on disease and illness rather than wellness.  I wanted to break free out of this standard model of care and focus more on prevention through habit and lifestyle change.  I wanted to empower people to reduce and even reverse symptoms of chronic illness.  After overcoming my own struggles with digestive and autoimmune disorders, I have dedicated my work to supporting other people to do the same.

2. What do you like most about your work?

I get to feel connected with the human beings that I work with through meaningful conversations, support and gentle accountability.   I get to help my clients become empowered, improve their wellbeing, and make better choices everyday.  I help them discover what keeps them stuck and unable to reach their health goals, and what to do about it.  I truly believe that the most powerful support that one human can offer to another is by helping them to experience their own power for helping themselves.

3. What have been the biggest "a-ha" moments in your business journey so far?

That everyone is on their own personal journey and that I am not here to fix anyone.  I am not a healer, but rather we are all our own healers.  I am here to support others along their own path.   Our bodies are always striving to find balance.  Ill health is a sign of imbalance and when we find balance, then there is no room for ill health.

I try to practice what I preach as much as I can but always know that I am a work in progress, just like everyone I work with.  We are all perfectly imperfect.

4. Any big goals on the horizon?

I want to reach as many people, who are ready to transform their lives, as I can in this lifetime.  I hope to do this by offering group programs in the near future.  I’d like to work with doctors to support their patients and improve patient compliance.

5. How do you overcome the hard stuff? What motivates you to keep going?

I always try to remember why I am doing what I am doing.  I call it my Big Motivating Factor.  I ask myself:  “What is motivating me to do what I am doing?”  I also try to constantly remember how I want to feel; always focusing on the feeling of my desire rather than the idea or external reasons for what I want.

6.   How do you manage your time when working for yourself? Do you have any routines or morning rituals that you swear by?

I have a Daytimer that I record my yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals.  I look at them everyday.  I prioritize my “To Do” list everyday and move the incomplete ones to the next day.  I make sure my “To Do” list is always reflective of my goals and desired feelings.  I start and end my days with self care.  I try to practice what I preach as much as I can but always know that I am a work in progress, just like everyone I work with.  We are all perfectly imperfect.

 7.  What do you hope to be known for in the long run?

A Masterful Health Coach who listens to, understands and empathizes with her clients; who is skilled at helping her clients find solutions to their health problems; who truly believes in her clients’ ability and supports them to attain inevitable success in reaching their health goals; who believes in her clients and cheers them on no matter how much they don’t believe in themselves.
